PUNKREAS

20 June 2000

It was high time to pay some respect to my fave Italian punk bands, who have nothing, i repeat nothing to envy to all those American successful bands. They were just born on the wrong side of the pond, sadly. So, here's Punkreas, a band that's been growing and growing for almost a decade now. If you like their faces and you wanna hear more about them, just drop me a line and I'll be glad to tell you more...

Left to rigth: Paletta, Cippa and Nuas. In the veeeery background, you can also see the drummer, Mastino. The other guitarist, Flaco, was always left outside the photos I took!
I like this pic of Nuas, cause he always look so happy and smiley when he's playing onstage... and he's a great guy, he always helps people get on the stage to stagedive, and if anyone asks him, he'll let them play his guitar too!
Another great point in favour of Punkreas: they WANT to feel the audience! Here's Cippa leaning on the barriers to let the guys in the crowd sing some refrains...
Actually it was already odd that there were barriers, cause Punkreas never have them and the audience is invited to go onstage and party at any time, but for this concert they were not in charge for the organisation so they had to keep up with barriers. But the audience could still go onstage and stagedive, they just had to climb over, that's it! :-)
Cippa was wearing that blue-and-black striped shirt in homage to that night's audience: it's the t-shirt of Atalanta football Club, who just came back into the premier legue. People in Bergamo were very pleased.
Kind of romantic pic of Nuas and Cippa... LOL! I don't even think that Punkreas have a romantic song to go with the pic... they play a great blend of punk with ska interludes. Check'em out!!!
